Google is really diversifying its portfolio of products and services. It already got into the mobile phone industry with Google search enabled phones. Now, it’s time to make it easier for those who regularly use YouTube, to directly upload their captured video content onto YouTube via Casio’s new cameras featuring what’s called YouTube™ Capture™ Mode. Casio boasts the new cameras, the EX-S880 and the EX-Z77, to be using its cutting-edge EXILIM Engine 2.0 image processing modules. In short, camera users will be able to capture video in high quality MPEG-4 H.264 video format, which they can then upload to YouTube. The whole thing is a two-step process and Casio claims it is very easy. You can read in more detail about this on Casio.com .

This is remarkable! Touch Bionics have designed an artificial hand that performs actions almost realistically. It was developed using leading edge mechanical engineering and advanced high-strength plastic. There are many images of the i-Limb in action on the manufacturers site and it looks like they’ve really made a breakthrough. Now just add some artifical living tissue (skin and flesh), and you’ve got not only a functional, but an aesthetic limb replacement. Would we really be able to tell the difference? Unless we looked really hard, probably not.

Just got back from a short but nice vacation in Montenegro, the seashore to be exact. It was a great 10 days of sightseeing, snorkeling, resting in the shade of olive trees. To be honest, I was actually thinking about staying there for a while. I mean, almost everything I do for a living can be done from anywhere in the world (well, almost), so why not? It turns out Life 1.x still has its claws sunk in to my Life 2.0 aspirations…
Anyway, here’s a couple of shots from the Montenegro coast. It’s a beautiful country, so if you get a chance, go there. It’s great for both summer and winter vacations. Learn more here.
